With today’s temperatures refreshingly brisk in the mid-50s, a stiff breeze whisking fallen leaves every which way and the sun casting its brilliant shine along land and sea, with just enough radiant warmth to enjoy lingering in its presence, one could feel the very essence of Autumn in the air – a feeling that reminds us all that summer’s playful overtures have left us on the ebb tide of a season past.

“The wind is full of mystery tonight;
In it the summer warmth and autumn chill
Commingle like the waters in a bight
To form a rip-tide that is never still.”

– Wilbert Snow (from the poem Changing Seasons)
